When did the ‘Concorde’ aircraft carry passengers for the first time?
Correct Answer: In 1976
Concorde, the iconic supersonic passenger aircraft, was developed jointly by Britain and France.
It made its first test flight in 1969 but did not begin carrying commercial passengers until January 1976, when British Airways and Air France launched their first scheduled services.
Concorde could cross the Atlantic in under three and a half hours and was retired in 2003.
