How many crosses form the Union Flag?
Correct Answer: Three
The Union Flag (also called the Union Jack) is made up of three crosses: the Cross of St George (red cross on white — England), the Cross of St Andrew (white diagonal cross on blue — Scotland), and the Cross of St Patrick (red diagonal cross on white — Ireland).
Wales is not represented by a separate cross as it was already united with England when the flag was created.
The result is the distinctive overlapping red, white and blue flag.
