When was the Turing machine discovered?
Correct Answer: In the 1930s
Alan Turing (1912–1954) published his concept of a universal computing machine — now known as the Turing machine — in 1936, while at the University of Cambridge.
This theoretical model forms the foundation of modern computer science.
During the Second World War, Turing worked at Bletchley Park to crack German Enigma codes, and his work is widely credited with shortening the war. He was posthumously pardoned in 2013 for his 1952 conviction for homosexuality.
