Who is the heir to the throne of the UK?
Correct Answer: Prince Charles
Since 8 September 2022, following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, King Charles III is the reigning British monarch.
His eldest son, Prince William, is now the heir apparent to the throne — he holds the title of Prince of Wales, traditionally given to the heir to the throne.
Before 2022, Prince Charles (now King) held this position. The order of succession follows the Succession to the Crown Act 2013, which applies regardless of gender.
