Members of the Scottish Parliament (MSPs) are elected on the basis of:
Correct Answer: Proportional representation
Members of the Scottish Parliament (MSPs) are elected using a form of proportional representation called the Additional Member System (AMS).

AMS combines constituency MSPs (elected directly) with regional "top-up" MSPs (elected from party lists), making the overall result more proportional to the votes cast.
